Being part of the crypto and NFT (non-fungible token) community is great for so many reasons - it’s fun, new, innovative and exciting. But if you’re just getting started, odds are you’ll have a lot of questions to begin with, and that is totally expected. After all, everyone has to start somewhere.

So, you’re ready to get involved, eager to learn, and have questions to ask….um, where do you go to ask them? Here are a few ideas to get you started. (Pro tip: completely new to NFTs? Visit our ‘What’s an NFT Blog?’ or our NFT Newbie section for more introductory info.)

Online communities

There are so many awesome crypto and NFT communities out there, all supporting each other and answering questions. It’s a great place for newbies, whether you want to get a specific question answered, or just learn from watching the chats others have.

We won’t even try to list them all, because there are a lot, and they’re spread across different platforms, which is great news because it means there are communities wherever you are – whether you’re a Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Discord, Twitch, Telegram, Reddit, or Medium fan, there’s a community for you.

Some top tips when looking for communities:

  • Find communities with moderators
  • Check community rules and make sure you vibe with them
  • Aim to join communities that are active and supportive

If you want to get started right away, feel free to join our Terra Virtua communities on Discord and Telegram. These are really supportive environments, where questions are welcomed and you can find lots of great information. They are also moderated by highly experienced crypto folk, so you can be confident you’re getting sensible responses to any questions you might have.

Terra Virtua Team

Our aim is to help make NFTs and the crypto world accessible to everyone, so if you have questions about anything that we can help with, please get in touch. And of course, if you have any questions, queries, or ideas about our platform or the NFTs we have, we’re here to listen. You can contact us via social media on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, or as mentioned above, join our online communities on Discord and Telegram

Podcasts

If you prefer to listen to advice rather than read it, then podcasts are a great way to accumulate some crypto knowledge. There are loads of options out there, and which one is right for you will depend on your level of knowledge, whether you’re an NFT fanatic or crypto investor, and the style of podcast you prefer. Some of the most popular podcasts in this space include:

  • Unchained – Laura Shin interviews leaders in the crypto space and explores all kinds of crypto topics
  • NonFunGerbils – an NFT focused podcast, where the hosts discuss the latest developments and NFT projects
  • Epicentre – one of the longest running crypto podcasts. It covers technical stuff, as well as political and social impacts of the latest crypto developments

There are also YouTube and Twitch channels that have some interesting content if you’re more of a video person:

There are loads more, so have a browse and see what floats your boat. (Pro tip: do some research into the hosts and check their credentials so you know that the info and advice you’re listening to is legit).

Online courses

If you’re keen to learn more about crypto, blockchain and all that jazz, then there are numerous online courses you can take. If you’re completely new to all this, then starting with some free courses that cover the basics might be the way to go. The following platforms offer a range of courses (free and paid) covering all kinds of blockchain topics:

(Please note: we have not verified the content of any of the above, so please do your own research before buying or participating in any courses).

FAQs

Last, but by no means least, FAQs are a great place to get answers to specific questions about any platform, marketplace, or exchange you may be interested in or already using. This is a good first port of call if you have any questions about things like setting up accounts, technical questions, or how to access assets. You can find Terra Virtua’s FAQs on our marketplace.
