Meet The Night Witches
In the depths of Russia in 1942, things are looking bleak. As the Soviet Union tries to keep Germany back and protect the Motherland, but its defenders are on their last legs and are in need of support. But at what cost? In their time of need, a new Squadron is ready to take to the skies.
The 599th Night Bomber Regiment are given a rough deal. Old, rickety wooden planes, deadly night mission that some consider suicide and the knowledge that if they’re caught and captured, it will mean a fate worse than their comrades. Why? Because these aren’t just pilots, they’re female pilots.
Met with disbelief and mistrust, these women have a lot to fight for, not only their country but also the respect of their fellow pilots. Taking on missions that will see them soaring above the hell that is the Eastern front, there’s something incredible about a group of women with nothing to lose.
Quickly it’s made clear that these are not pilots to be taken lightly, as they take the enemy head on, they becoming legends in their own right…if you’re a target for The Night Witches, you might as well say your prayers.
