You know that feeling you get when you discover an awesome new artist, and you just want to consume everything they’ve ever created? That’s how we felt when we discovered Sevdaliza.

We know, we know, we’re a bit late to the party considering Sevdaliza has been creating incredible music since 2014 and pushing the boundaries of the creative arts well before then. But, hey, we’re here now, and we are incredibly stoked to announce that this absolute powerhouse of the arts is joining the Terra Virtua platform!

If you’re not familiar with Sevdaliza, then the first thing to do is hop over to YouTube and have a look at her amazing art, and listen to her music which she not only sings, but also wrote and produced.

Impressive, right?

Yep, when we say Sevdaliza is a creative powerhouse, we aren’t joking. This incredibly talented multimedia artist is a singer, songwriter, producer, visual artist, and conceptual genius. Her work is powerful, and deals with issues around fragility, womanhood, motherhood, and identity, bringing important themes to the fore through music, visual representations, and other creative outlets.

With a rich heritage of different nationalities (she’s Dutch-Iranian from Russian, Azebaijani, and Persian descent) influencing her life and her creative endeavours, it’s no wonder that her work speaks to so many people on such a profound level.

Yet, in another life Sevdaliza may never have ventured into the artistic scene. Having won a basketball scholarship for college and playing for the Dutch national team, her career path could have been very different. But the artistic urge was far too strong in Sevdaliza, and she began a creative career that has spanned so many genres, industries, and mediums.

And now she’s joining us at Terra Virtua with her very first NFT drop, and we are so hyped about it!

Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is Sevdaliza’s first experience with the crypto world though, she’s actually a huge crypto enthusiast, and really knows her stuff when it comes to blockchain, NFTs, and crypto. In fact, it’s something she’s so passionate about that she’s donating 5% of the proceeds from her upcoming drop to the Mint Fund, which helps non-western artists of colour sell their creations online using cryptocurrency and NFTs.

We are incredibly proud to have Sevdaliza join the Terra Virtua family, and we are super excited for you all to see her stunning new collection which she has created in partnership with Hirad Sab, a digital artist, with whom she shares her Iranian roots, who has been collaborating with Sevdaliza on digital art projects over the last 5 years. The collection includes immersive renders of existing pieces, featuring original music and moving images, and a very special never before seen piece.

Her artwork will be dropping at 5pm on 9th June, with two of the pieces available on general sale at our marketplace, and one being sold via auction. Don’t worry, we’ll keep you up to date with all the details, just follow us on social media, and don’t forget to follow Sevdaliza too!
